Jeff Garvey is the Managing Director and Founder of Garvey Group.
Jeff began his career at Stockland, one of Australia’s largest listed developers, and went on to be a joint founder of ID_Land, building it from a single Melbourne project into one of the country’s most active private residential developers, with more than 7,000 homesites delivered across 26 masterplanned communities and a multi-billion-dollar pipeline spanning Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
Across three decades he has acquired, rezoned, serviced and delivered land through every part of the cycle, and has sat across the table from landowners, competing developers, councils, authorities and builders in almost every situation this industry produces.
Jeff retains shares in investments managed by the ID_Corp group of companies, but has divested and exited the business itself. Garvey Group is his sole operating focus, with a single mandate: englobo land.
Why I built Garvey Group
What gets lost is the landowner. In a corporate structure, the person who sits at your kitchen table isn’t the person who decides — your land becomes a line in a board paper.
I started Garvey Group to do it the other way around. Small, deliberately. One decision-maker, enough capital to transact properly, and few enough deals to give every one my full attention.
